MEET OUR TEAM

A strong team headed by CEO Alistair Dias, brings forward extensive background and networks within property investment, finance, Supported Living and Social Housing sectors.

Alistair Dias is the founder and CEO of Langham Park Homes and has a wealth of experience from well over 25 years developing properties and portfolios, originally in the prime residential sector across London and the home counties before turning his focus to the social housing sector with a strong emphasis on the Specialised Supported Housing sector.

Alistair has built a very strong team at LPH with core strengths and expertise across all of the necessary fields required to satisfy investors. Forging strong relationships with institutional funders, registered providers of social housing and key care providers across the country has given Alistair an extensive understanding of the sector.

 Alistair is primarily responsible for transacting on well over £150m of property and business acquisitions for Langham Park Homes within the supported living sector and this is set to grow considerably as LPH have now also entered the affordable housing and temporary accommodation sectors.

Sir Nigel Knowles

Sir Nigel Knowles is Chairman of global legal business DWF. He is former Global Co-Chairman and Senior Partner of DLA Piper, having previously served as Global Co-CEO and Managing Partner for nearly twenty years.  Sir Nigel is credited with DLA Piper’s remarkable growth, leading the firm through a series of mergers and taking the firm from its regional origins to the global firm it is today. 

Sir Nigel received a Knighthood in 2009 in recognition of his services to the legal industry. Legal Business awarded Sir Nigel a "Lifetime Achievement" award" in 2015 and Sir Nigel was given the Financial News "Editor's Choice" award for Lifetime Achievement (2016).

Sir Nigel was Chairman of Sheffield City Region LEP from 2015 to 2018 and now is a special advisor to the Mayor, Dan Jarvis and a Trustee of The Prince's Trust.  Sir Nigel was High Sheriff of Greater London from 2016- 2017.

Sir Nigel is a Fellow of Harris Manchester College, Oxford University and is a Visiting Professor of the University of Sheffield having received an Honorary Doctorate of Civil Law from the University in July 2011.

Mel Sims

Mel Sims is a very experienced M&A and Corporate Finance lawyer having practised most of his career as a partner with the International Law Firm DLA Piper where he was a partner for over 26 years, latterly heading up the corporate practice of that firm in the Middle East covering 7 offices within that region. He is currently a partner with the International Law Firm, DWF Law LLP, the first and only law firm listed on the premier list of the London Stock Exchange.

Mel has always combined his legal advisor roles with non executive director and board advisory appointments to businesses founded and run by serial entrepreneurs, including, in addition to Langham Park Homes, a number of businesses that are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and its predecessors and one business which is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange

Jesse Herbert

Head of Acquisitions

Jesse Herbert is a founding member of Langham Park Homes and has been a key part of the success of LPH throughout. Jesse oversees the acquisition team as well as sourcing and building and maintaining relationships in the marketplace with the primary care agents, vendors, care providers and housing associations and also executes the purchase of businesses, properties and portfolios across the UK.

Since 2016, he has been directly responsible for the acquisition of well over £100m of properties and businesses within the Supported Living sector. Jesse brings a wealth of experience in the property market having previously sourced and acquired many properties and development opportunities on behalf of property developers and high net worth individuals in the prime London property market over the last 20 years.

Simon Slater

Project Director

Simon has been overseeing all refurbishments, updates, and modifications to many properties for Langham Park Homes since 2018. His knowledge in CDM, CLP, Building Control, H&S, Party Wall and fire safety is an absolute asset to the team.  He manages building teams on a nationwide scale and works with some of the best tradesmen in the UK.

Simon has over 35 years of experience in refurbishing and selling properties and first found great success as an independent developer before forging a career in project management for the construction industry.

He is confident at guiding teams and professionals from diverse disciplines towards a common goal. Highly organised, Simon is highly adept at balancing the logistics of managing tight deadlines and turning projects around within a short period of time whilst adhering to budgets to ensure that the affordable housing provided by LPH is of a quality standard that will stand the test of time.
